Product Description

BMS GP Cement is a general purpose Portland cement formulated for consistent performance across a wide range of concrete, grout, and mortar applications in civil construction, tunnelling, and mining.

Compatible with most admixtures and supplementary cementitious materials, BMS GP Cement complies with Type GP requirements specified in Australian Standard AS 3972 General Purpose and Blended Cements.

Features & Benefits
  • AS 3972 Type GP Compliant: Consistent chemistry and performance for general concrete, mortar, render, and grout mixes.
  • Versatile: High versatility allowing use in a wide variety of applications and project environments.
  • Predictable Setting & Strength Development: Reliable early and 28-day strength gain under standard curing.
  • Broad Mix Compatibility: Works well with common supplementary cementitious materials (e.g., fly ash and slag), and standard chemical admixtures (e.g., plasticisers and polymers), enabling tailored workability and durability.
Typical Applications
  • • Domestic construction, such as concrete slabs, driveways, and footpaths.
  • • Structural concrete, such as pre-stressed slabs, columns, and tilt-panel walls.
  • • Pavers, blocks, panels, and pipes.
  • • Surface and underground, coal and hardrock mining.
  • • Specialty formulations, such as adhesives, renders, mortars, and grouts.
Packaging
  • • Typically, 20kg paper bags (palletised).
    • • 1.0 tonne bulk bags.
    • • Additional packaging options are available on request.
    • • All orders include Proof of Dispatch (POD) documentation with batch identification numbers and manufacturing dates for traceability.
Shelf-Life & Storage Conditions

Shelf-Life: Best used within 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored as recommended. Cement may be fit for purpose beyond 6 months, subject to assessment of storage conditions and verification testing of cement properties.

Storage Conditions: Store unopened and undamaged packages in a cool, dry environment below 30°C. Shelf-life may decrease if exposed to high humidity, extreme temperatures, or external weather conditions.
