BMS TD-Bolt undergoes regular in-house quality control testing, supplemented by periodic third-party testing. Performance-based properties, such as strength, working time, pumpability, etc, are highly-dependent on water-to-solids (w:s) ratios, water and ambient temperature, mixer and pump type, etc. Applicators should conduct a site-based trial under representative field conditions to verify the suitability of the product for the intended application.
Note: The stated unconfined compressive strength (UCS) values are typical of in-house testing conducted on 50 mm cubes mixed using Toowoomba Regional Council potable water, cast in steel moulds, demoulded at 24 hours, and submerged-cured at 23°C until tested. [1] Working time is defined as the total time available to mix, pump/apply, and clean out the mixing equipment. [2] Actual field performance achieved was 120 m using a Clark Model M150 grout pump with 6 × 20 m lengths of 25 mm internal diameter air/water hose, with 80–90 psi air supply.

BMS TD-Bolt is a ready-to-use dry grout formulated as a high ultimate strength, thixotropic cementitious anchoring grout for "top-down" grouting of cable bolts and long tendons in underground mining applications.
- • High Ultimate Strength: Promotes early development of bond strength and load-transfer capacity following installation, as well as high ultimate strength for long-term ground support performance.
- • Thixotropic: Supports "top-down" grouting and performance in competent and poor ground conditions alike.
- • Pumpability: Designed to pump over long distances to improve underground installation workflows.
- • Safe: Non-toxic and non-flammable.
- • Top-down grouting of cable bolts and long tendons in underground coal and hard rock mines.
- • Ground support applications requiring high-strength cementitious anchorage and effective load transfer between the reinforcing element and surrounding rock mass.
- • Typically, 20 kg paper bags (60 bags per pallet).
- • Additional packaging options are available on request.
- • All orders include Proof of Dispatch (POD) documentation with batch identification numbers and manufacturing dates for traceability.
Shelf-Life: Best used within 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored as recommended. Product may remain fit for purpose beyond 6 months, subject to assessment of storage conditions and verification testing of mortar properties.
Storage Conditions: Store unopened and undamaged packages in a cool, dry environment below 30°C. Shelf-life may decrease if exposed to high humidity, extreme temperatures, or external weather conditions.
- • Cement dust is an irritant—avoid inhalation or skin/eye contact.
- • Wear protective gloves, clothing, eye and face protection.
- • Ensure adequate ventilation during mixing and application.
- • In case of contact with the eyes, rinse with running water for 15 mins and remove contaminated clothing.
- • Always consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prior to handling or use.
